About Me

About Me

I am a psychotherapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in private practice centrally located in Seattle’s Madison Valley neighborhood. I offer traditional counseling such as relational, family systems and cognitive behavioral as well as mind-body based counseling and hypnotherapy for individuals, couples and groups. My style is compassionate, intuitive and interactive.

In my work as a counselor I feel it is vital to create a space where you are both welcomed and encouraged to be yourself, and a place where you know you will be heard and understood. Together we will explore and tend to your struggles and pain as well as to your dreams and desires, illuminating the path that will move from where you are to where you want to be.

I have a holistic approach to counseling; I take into account the physical, emotional, social and environmental aspects of your life. I enjoy working with people confronting a wide range of issues. Together we will work to highlight and tap into your unique personal strengths and abilities, increase your self-awareness, and identify strategies to create the outcome that feels right and will work for you.

I am passionate about the interconnection of the mind, body and spirit, and the importance of connection to self and community. In my role as a therapist, I see myself as a guide in a collaborative journey with you, walking the path which will lead you to the creation of balance and healing through the rediscovery of self, connection to family and community, and personal and collective wisdom.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, I call the Pacific Northwest my home. I grew up exploring and enjoying the city, the mountains, and the waters of the Puget Sound and lakes in the area. Prior to finishing graduate school I worked for many years for a corporation in downtown Seattle as well as volunteering with a number of nonprofits serving the state and local communities. Children all grown, I now enjoy spending time with my community of friends and family, working, writing, and caring for my animals.
